Programs Available in Spring 2026
While most programs in Sweden begin in Autumn, a limited number of English-taught bachelor’s and master’s programs open for Spring (January) intake.- Bachelor’s Programs: Rare for spring. Most undergraduate programs begin in the Autumn semester.
- Master’s Programs: Some universities like Jönköping University, Dalarna University, and Linnaeus University offer spring-start master’s programs, mostly in Business, IT, and Tourism.
- PhD Programs: Open year-round. PhD positions in Sweden are treated as full-time salaried jobs, not regular student admissions.

Key Deadlines for Spring 2026:
- Applications open: 2 June 2025
- Application deadline: 15 August 2025
- Document & payment deadline: 1 September 2025
- Admission results: Early October 2025
Required Documents:
- Educational transcripts and degrees (HEC attested)
- Valid passport
- English test score (IELTS/TOEFL/PTE)
- Any additional documents required by specific programs (CV, motivation letter, etc.)
Application Fee:
- SEK 900 (approx. €80) for all applications
Tuition Fees & Initial Deposit

- Initial Deposit (after admission): Often 1st semester or 1st year’s tuition (~€5,000–€12,000)
- PhD Students: No tuition fee + Monthly salary!
English Proficiency Requirements
Most programs require English Level 6 (equivalent to CEFR C1). Below are accepted test scores:Test | Minimum Score |

Swedish Student Visa (Residence Permit)
You must apply for a residence permit for studies (not a short-term visa). The process is mostly online. 🧾 Required Documents:- University admission letter
- Receipt of paid tuition deposit
- Passport copy
- Proof of sufficient funds: At least SEK 10,584 per month (~€950) 👉 For a 12-month stay: Show at least SEK 127,000 (~€11,300) in your personal bank account
- Health insurance (only if your program is less than 1 year)
- Apply online via: https://www.migrationsverket.se
- Visit the Swedish Embassy in Islamabad to submit passport & biometrics
- No formal visa interview (unless requested)
- Estimated Monthly Cost: SEK 9,000 – 11,000 (~€800–€1,000)
- Rent, food, transport are major expenses
- You can work unlimited hours during studies (no official limit)
- After graduation: Apply for a 12-month job seeker permit
- Swedish Institute Scholarships (SI): Covers full tuition + monthly stipend
- University Scholarships: Offered by many universities (partial tuition waivers)
- External Scholarships: Check with Pak Euro Links team for available options
- Spouse: SEK 4,410/month
- Child: SEK 2,646/month (per child)
- Spouse (legally married partner)
- Cohabiting Partner (you’ve lived together for at least 2 years and can prove it)
- Children under 18 (biological or adopted)
- Your dependents can apply together with your own student residence permit OR submit their application after yours is approved.
- All applications are made online via the Swedish Migration Agency website.
- Their residence permits will be issued for the same duration as your student permit.

- Valid passports
- Marriage certificate (attested) or relationship proof for cohabiting partner
- Birth certificates (for children)
- Your university admission letter and residence permit decision
- Proof of sufficient financial support (as shown above)
- Accommodation arrangements (if requested later)
- It’s recommended to apply for dependents together with your own residence permit to avoid delays.
- If applying later, the same documentation and financial proof are required.
- Dependents must also visit the Swedish Embassy in Islamabad for biometric submission.
